I opened Carebears Childrens Nursery Ltd in January 2014 after gaining 5 years’ experience in the early year’s sector. Before this, I had 20 years’ experience in the financial industry, undertaking many managerial positions. As a mother of 3 who used private nurseries, my goal was always to open a nursery and provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop through play.  

Vicky Currie

Nursery Manager
I have worked in the early year's sector from 2003. I gained my SVQ level 3 in 2005. Since then, I have continually been developing my learning and knowledge. I graduated from Glasgow University after studying BA Childhood Practice in 2019. I joined the Carebears Childrens Nursery Ltd team as the Tweenies room senior in January 2015 and currently I am enjoying the manager's role.

Daniel Rutherford

Deputy Manager

I have been working in the early years sector from 2013. I gained my HNC in Early Education and Childcare in 2015. Since then, I have continually been developing my learning and knowledge. In 2018 I gained my SVQ Level 4. I joined Carebears Children's Nursery in January 2020 as Adventure Bear room senior, progressing onto Deputy Manager. I am enjoying the deputy manager's role.

Fiona Mcleary

Deputy Manager

I have been working in the early years sector from 2006. I  gained my SVQ Level 3 in 2007. Since then I have continually been developing my learning and knowledge. In 2018 I gained my BA Childhood Practice. I joined Carebears Children's Nursery in 2014 as pre-school room senior. I have supported many rooms within the company and I have  progressed onto Deputy Manager. I am enjoying the deputy manager's role.

Kirsty McGill

Deputy Manager

 I joined Carebears Children's Nursery in January 2024 as Deputy Manager, I have 20+ years experience in childcare. My qualifications are, PDA Play Work, HNC Early Education and Childcare, PDA Level 8 Childhood Practice and CMI Management and Leadership Diploma. In 2024 I gained my BA in Childhood Practice. I am enjoying the deputy manager's role within Carebears.
